The essential oil of Hisopo is extracted with the help of the steam distillation of leaves and flowers from a bush called Hisopo. The health benefits of this essential oil can be attributed to its properties as astringent, stimulating, antispasmodic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, carminative, healing, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, hypertensive, nervous, diaphoretic, tonic, febrifuge, vermifuge and vulnerary substance.
In addition to being an antispasmodic, the essential hysop oil relieves spasms of the respiratory system, curing spasmodic symptoms. It also cures spasms of the nervous system to cure convulsions and related problems, as well as reducing muscle spasms, which cures calambres and spasms of the intestines, relieving acute abdominal pain.
Since the acceptance of hysop improves and promotes circulation, it helps to cure illnesses associated with deficient circulation, such as rheumatism, arthritis, gout and swelling.
