This acceptance is very gentle and, therefore, it is said that it is used to treat even embarassed children and women, one of the few acceptances that are used in this way. With its tonic and stimulating effect on both the stomach and liver, it is useful for digestive problems. Mandarin oil is also useful for treating acne, greasy skin and blemishes. It is supposed to also help alleviate problems such as fluid retention and obesity. The oil, diluted at around 1-2% in a carrier oil, is gently massaged onto a child's belly to relieve stomach pain. A few drops in the bath calm hyperactive children. Used in an oil burner, it dispels depression and relieves anxiety.

Mandarin oranges are called that way because they are traditionally offered as gifts to mandarins in China. In France, the mandarin is considered a safe remedy to treat indigestion in children and for the elderly, which helps to strengthen the digestive system and the liver. Originally from southern China and the Far East, the mandarin was brought to Europe in 1805 and America in 1845.
